Lady Generals traveled to Columbus, Ohio to bowl against some of the best high school girls bowling teams in Ohio in the 15th Annual Ohio high School State Invitational “Kick-Off” Tournament, December 1st at Columbus Bowling Palace. Qualifying 12th out of 28 teams, we advanced into the girls championship round. First round we defeated number five seed Versailles in the best 3 out of 5 Baker Versailles 156-166-144, Wooster 172-256-161. Moving on to the second round we defeated the number four seed Perry Panthers 156-138–43-175-151, Wooster 149-163-170-108-156. Onto round three, we lost to the number one seed Troy 181,196,125 tie, Wooster 179, 193, 125 tie. Allie Leiendecker selected to represent the Lady Generals in a 9th and 10th frame roll off wins a coin toss and elected to bowl first. She bowled a strike and the Troy bowler bowled a 9/. Allie thru what looked like a good shot and left a split and the Troy bowler picked up a spare to win the match. We departed Wayne Lanes at 9:00 AM to start the tournament at 12:00, this tough match against the #1 seed that ended at 8:00 PM. Our Lady Generals represented Wooster well this weekend with a 4th place finish, I am very proud of their overall performance! This was the best finish in history by any Lady Generals Girls Team!
