The Generals began their Myrtle Beach road trip with a win over Landstown High School (Virginia) 7-5.

Wooster jumped out to an early lead with a four spot in the first inning. Senior Trevar Meese had the big hit in the inning with a two-out fly to short left plating a pair of runs.

Wooster added two runs in the second inning, and a big insurance run in the seventh when Kristian Scalf drove in Meese with a line drive.

Jake Curren and Evan Hootman had three hits each, and Tyler Pettorini had a pair of hits including a triple.

Meese pitched 5.1 innings for the win, striking out 4. Pettorini closed the game on the mound, earning his first save.

The Generals move to 7-4 on the season.
